Austin Independent School District students are back in school, and to make sure students are getting the most out of the school year, the Andy Roddick Foundation is partnering with two elementary schools to provide high-quality afterschool programming for students in Pre-Kindergarten to grade 5. We are continuing our partnership with Pecan Springs Early College Prep Elementary – now supporting our third year of afterschool – and excited to announce our new partnership with Harris Early College Prep Elementary. Combined, we will ensure over 200 students have access to high-quality afterschool programming Monday to Friday throughout the school year.
“Having a partner like the Andy Roddick Foundation will make a huge difference in that our scholars and their families will have a quality afterschool and summer program,” said Monica Martinez, principal at Harris Elementary.
“Every year our parents struggle to find quality programs that promote arts, physical activity and tutoring. The Foundation has created a quality program and have been open to ideas and suggestions so that our programming is unique to our school community. We believe that as partners we are stronger, and through this strong relationship, we will continue to support our scholars so that they will thrive, succeed and achieve their potential."
