2016 Summer Learning Program Is One for the History Books

We had an amazing Summer Learning Program these past six weeks as we traveled through time! The 90 children who participated this year made silent movies and learned to code, we built and launched rockets, played lacrosse and rugby, learned square dancing and hip hop, cooked over an open fire, gave back to the community by making bowls for the “Austin Empty Bowl Project”, and so much more! We also went on great field trips to places like the Circuit of the Americas and raced our solar cars on the track, the Hill Country Science Mill to learn about technology careers, and Georgetown Airport when we learned about flight.

Thank you so much to all our fantastic summer staff for their unwavering dedication to our children and families, volunteers for giving generously of their time and talents, donors for supporting the program, and partners for bringing new experiences to our children – we couldn’t do it without you all!
