AUSTIN, Texas – September 7, 2016 – Today, the Andy Roddick Foundation, the leading Central Texas organization enriching the lives of children through afterschool and summer learning programs, investments in community innovators and awareness-building activities, announced 10-time Grammy® Award winning musician and philanthropist John Legend will perform at the 11th Annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater.
“John Legend is an American musical treasure and a great supporter and advocate for youth causes,” says Andy Roddick Foundation Founder Andy Roddick. “John, and his wife Chrissy [Teigen], have been friends of Brooklyn and I for many years, and we are thrilled and honored that he is returning to the gala for a second time, helping us raise the funds we depend on to enrich the lives of children when they’re not in school.”
The gala is expected to bring together approximately 2,000 supporters, friends, partners and concert-goers for an evening of celebration and music. The evening features a cocktail reception, an extensive live auction, an elegant dinner and live concert at the world famous Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater. The gala attracts the biggest names in music and entertainment and has raised $5.5 million since 2012 to support the foundation’s afterschool and summer learning and enrichment programs.
